We will need to sight a current, valid vaccination certificate. For cats we require a current F4 or F5 vaccination certificate. For dogs we require a current C5 or C3 + intra-nasal vaccine.
Please bring a current vaccination certificate, any medication and any special dietary foods when you check in. All medication should be clearly labelled with the name of pet, name of medication and dosage regime.
We also require details of flea and tick control, heartworm treatments etc.
Of further help to us are particulars of any pre-existing conditions;- for example, lumps, limps, skin conditions, eye and ear problems etc: and any recent medical issues that may have arisen;- for example, any injury, surgery or illness. These details enable us to care for your pet appropriately.
Veterinary Care
Occasionally animals need the attention of a veterinarian. The local Terrey Hills practice, which we use for our own animals, provides prompt and professional service 24 hours per day. However we are quite happy to contact your own vet if that is your preference. Please let us know when checking in.
Protection Against Ticks
Ticks are endemic in this area and can occur at any time of the year.
Paralysis ticks can be fatal to dogs and cats.
We have a supply of tick collars and spot treatments available as well as facilities for providing an effective tick rinse.
We strongly recommend that all cats have a spot treatment and dogs have a fresh collar and / or spot treatment to reduce risk.
Medication
The dispensing of tablets, creams and eye/ear drops is included in the daily fee.
