Cats require special attention when away from home.
For our discerning feline friends the cattery offers cosy indoor areas, optional electric warming blankets in Winter, classical music and a balcony with either bush, dam or garden views.
Each cat has daily access to an enclosed garden at no extra cost. This includes climbing logs, places to lounge and an abundance of cat grass, penny royal and cat mint.
At the end of the day, we settle each cat into bed with an individual health check which masquerades as a cuddle. Here we take the opportunity to look at eyes, ears, general demeanour and specifically check for ticks.
The cattery is well away from the dogs and there is no contact.
Elderly cats have ground-floor accommodation, access to garden areas, lots of places to lay in the sun and watch the world go by, plus optional electric warming blankets when it gets a bit chilly.
For pets over 10 years of age we complete a health status form with details on eyesight, hearing and mobility etc to which we can refer as necessary.
Cat Boxes Essential
Every cat must arrive in a secure cat box. This is an essential part of our emergency procedures.
Food
For feline friends we offer varieties of tinned fish, cats delight (a raw minced meat mix) and a high quality preservative-free dry food. We are also happy to cater for special dietary requirements for kittens, elderly cats and fussy eaters.
Outdoor Life
Access to individual enclosed gardens is available to all. There are chairs to lounge in, logs to scratch, cat mint to nibble, places to explore, rabbits and birds and lizards to watch … perchance to dream.
